Welt der Wunder

For Welt der Wunder, I worked on three fast-paced infotainment segments covering topics ranging from solar panels and crystal mats to medical cannabis. The subjects were diverse and sometimes certainly lived up to the programme’s name.

My main responsibility was editing. On one of the productions, I also stepped behind the camera, standing in for cinematographer Eric Neugebauer, who shot the other segments.

These were fast-turnaround productions: as soon as the footage arrived, it went straight into post-production. Editing, colour correction and mastering had to be completed quickly and reliably, often with very little time between filming and final delivery.

This demanding workflow was made possible by the excellent collaboration with editorial producer Ralf Schemel, who always prepared every story thoroughly. Unfortunately, he has since exchanged his career as a freelance television journalist for teaching – a move that says a great deal about the current state of our industry.
